Earliest build of mine I recall was:

Energy Boon
Air Attunement
Lightning Strike
Lightning Hammer
Lightning Orb
Chain Lightning
Rotting Flesh
Deathly Swarm

Back in the day I only bought Prophecies so I could get Chain Lightning. Good Times.

Started playing about 25 months ago, pre hm era. My first char was my necro, and really didnt know how to play GW. Kicked out of several groups because I didn't have elite skills untill rihlon, but I didn't even know what elite skills were.
After that i capped Reapers mark (yes reapers mark..) and LoD. Running around with some strange blood/mm hybrids, with life stealing and minions. After that even ran around with LoD on my bar.
Most shitty part was the gate of madness mission. Everyone wanted me to be ss or sv, and guess what, only NF.
Last i want to show you my best running ele build ever made:
[build prof=Elementalist/Monk][Air Attunement][Aura of Restoration][Healing Breeze][Mending][Storm Djinn's Haste][Orison of Healing][Remove Hex][Resurrect][/build]

Hmmm...well, I've only been playing for a couple of months, but my first and still-most-played character is my dervish. One of my early bars was something like this:

Retribution
Healing Breeze
Mending
Vital Boon
Chilling Victory
Mystic Sweep
Grenth's Fingers
Eternal Aura

Yes, I had Mending on my bar. I didn't know what upkeep was back then. I thought it was a free +2 health regen! I took it off when I noticed that my energy was taking longer to regenerate. Same with Retribution.

I started as a ranger and I used a build with ignite arrows, a pet and pre buff power shot for aaages. I seem to remember having shatter hex in there too... I'd read that both rangers and mesmers were good interupters so I took a couple of mes spells along too.

Then, of course, when I capped my first elite I HAD to use it. Just a shame it was Spiteful Spirit.

oh, the noob days. How much fun they were...

I started around NF time, and my first build that included an elite (took me a month to figure out what they were and the fact I should have one) was this...

Light of Deliverance
Orison of Healing
Reversal Of Fortune
Resurect
Remove Hex
Purge Conditions
Purge Signet
Healing Breeze

Pretty sweet build!, Purge Sig really blew through my energy though ~.^

Hmm... something throwing together some Necro and Warrior skills. I ran around with a sword too.
Found these on my templates list:

[OAFWQiyYqzQn6E7xScyvAGoCCAA]
[OAFTQYDRzITDqNcyvBmLCAA]

After a while I was a little more sensible.
[OABDQsx3Q+BtBZCcCmB3gCC7OA]
That was from before LT was AoE though.

Mabye one day the forum will be fixed and you'll be able to see those skill bars without processing them through something...

Necromancer/Mesmer
Death/Illusion with a small amount of Domination and no soul reaping.
I was a total nuhb. xD
I think it was close to something like this:
Deathly Swarm, Energy Burn, Conjure Phantasm, Empathy, Animate Bone Horror, Well of Suffering, and Res Signet.
I'm glad a 3 second phantasm can pretty much anhillate most of the mobs in Old Ascalon. Or I'dve been screwed. xD

I think my first elite was oath shot, so I ran that for awhile until we got barrage, which back then not a lot of people used. Mostly because it took off preprations which a lot of people were in love with. But once the "newer" areas came out, then it was all about barrage pet builds. And of course the UW trapper builds.

But basically I ran a pet heavy build with oath shot from what I remember.

On my monk I ran a protective bond build (before it was nerfed so you know that was a LOOOOOONG time ago). But after that it was a vital blessing/signet of judgement build. But eventually we got back to the whole solo builds, and it was the cookie cutter (somewhat) 55 build, which then took another hit with the AOE nerf that caused mobs to run from the damage.

I played the ranger and monk 90% of the time back then, but I remember oath shot and protective bond distinctly being the focus of the first "real" builds I had with them.
